JUPITER, FL. – The news out of Florida this morning is not all sunshine and delicious oranges. In the golfing world, Tiger Woods was arrested in the early hours Monday on a reported DUI charge, said Jupiter police spokeswoman Kristin Rightler. Woods who is a resident of Jupiter Island, was taken into custody at 3 a.m. on Military Trail South of Indian Creek Parkway. Police released Woods at 10:50am, records from Palm Beach County police show.
It’s a sad day for fans of the legendary golf as the 41-year-old was upbeat about his recent back surgery and wrote he hadn’t felt this good in years.
Memories of that infamous night in 2009, when Woods hit a tree while allegedly driving under the influence of Ambien quickly come to mind. If you recall he was not charged with DUI at the time.
