Dustin Johnson showed signs of complete dominance during his matches this week at the Dell Matchplay, however at times it was certainly not a cake walk.  He jumped out to early leads in both the semi and final matches but allowed those leads to slip away with poor wedge shots in moments where he could have put his competitors away.  Johnson’s short game work from inside 150 yards has been well documented as the key to his recent rise to golf’s #1 spot.  His unmatched power off the tee blended with solid wedge play and decent putting has made him unstoppable.  This is DJ’s third straight win in his past three starts, and second consecutive win since taking over the #1 spot in the official world rankings.  With just two weeks before the Masters, he has plenty of time to sort out his wedge play and enter Augusta as the hands down favorite.
