Who has the best shot at putting on a green jacket?
In the spirit of the successful food network show Chopped, allow me to present …”Chopped – Augusta” Which player will be on the chopping block? Lets begin…
First let’s clear the Amateurs out of the way. Congrats on getting here guys but an amateur hasn’t won here and the closest in recent history was Ken Venturi in 1956 who finished 2nd.
Next, the over 46 year olds. I’m sorry but the last person to win past their 46th birthday was Jack and he was the greatest of all time. Unless this is 1985 you aren’t taking this thing.
Jose Maria Olazabal
**Most notable chop in this group is Fred Couples (sad but true face)
Next we say goodbye to the first timers. No virgin will win Augusta, the experience of being here is far to overwhelming to concentrate on the top level golf that brought you here to begin with.
Brendon de Jonge
MOST NOTABLY CHOPPED:
**These are great players having amazing seasons but this is Augusta over four days of championship golf against the world’s greatest who have been here before.
Next its “The 100 – 1 gang”. If this is an article about who “should” win the masters then some consideration has to be given to Vegas book makers. If these guys are willing to pay you $100 for a $1 bet then someone knows something about odds.
